Back after the long holiday break — and with a New Year resolution to post a lot more often. (Expect this one, like all New Year resolutions, to be broken by end of January.)This site was originally imagined as a sketchbook of sorts, displaying current work, warts'n'all; over the course of 2008 it turned into a pseudo-portfolio, and was actually occasionally mistaken for a portfolio. So, preciousness about one's own work be damned, in 2009 this site should become a glorious mess it was supposed to be, with new and archival photos of varying quality several times a week, lots of outtakes and half-baked ideas, and so on. In a word: fun.Another thing: lots of people wrote in to ask why comments have been disabled; it was fun while it lasted, but I feel that the "comment" format is used up and inappropriate for a site like this. The comments will make a comeback in 2009 in a very different format that'll give room to commenters to actively creatively contribute, so we can avoid the dreaded artist/audience relationship, and have more of a dialogue.All this talk, and I didn't even mention today's photo yet; another entry in the ongoing "Redheads" series, of which you'll be seeing a lot more over the coming weeks.
